In our 2010 Member Survey, we asked members if they had any comments to share about our company, products, services and sense of humor. Here are some of the great things they had to say:
If you were to offer the Co-op a piece of wisdom, what would it be?
Sales make customers happy!
Continue to offer quality products at good prices AND with very good, fast service AND at same time retaining the personal touch that is almost always lacking in businesses these days…It gives me peace of mind to know that you have all batches of incoming supplements tested before they are sold…Thanks for all you are doing!! GREAT JOB!
I may be old, but I don’t think I spout words of wisdom.
God Bless you for all that you do for all of us that can’t always afford the products that would help us stay healthy.
NEVER EVER CHANGE!! Get big like Walmart but never lose the mom and pop store business sense and friendliness. Keep the quality at the top.
Try to continue to keep the costs down so it is affordable to people who are suffering in the economic “crunch”; and keep up the good work. I enjoy the research that is shared with us, also. Thank you.
What you cast on the waters comes back in various forms.
Continue with your truthful representation of your products and your fairness in pricing.
Keep up the good work: the concern for true health, good research, good prices, and care for us humans.
Keep the prices low so that everyone can afford them, especially the seniors.
Go easy on the puppies – they have feelings too.
Develop an “Ensure” type drink that is organic, without sugar, nor preservatives.
Keep up the great information! It is so neat to find good source of health information that doesn’t have a huge agenda behind it.
Perhaps to mention more often the purity, testing, etc. of your products. Your willingness to reveal test results impressed me.
Maintain your excellent customer service and competitive pricing… you guys are amazing in these aspects!
Offer exceptional products….don’t get greedy ever!! You will be successful!
Stay steady as you go – there is a large population of customers out there who need your genuine content products, if they know why.
Keep doing what you are doing–and KEEP that KAT purring!! Been with them (Guido AND Dr. Jon) for years–only the KAT is still viable!! Doesn’t say much for DOCTORS!
Stay in business and keep the “family/informal” feel. DO NOT corporatize yourself. I’ll be gone.
Continue to treat your customers (and potential customers) as HUMAN BEINGS.
Have a sale of one item once a week, and try and have it spread by word of mouth…that way people will come by your website to check out what sale item is available, and maybe buy other stuff as well??
What does that cat (Kat) look like? I don’t think he/it really exists…in fact I’m going to start calling myself an a-felinist. I don’t believe in “Cat”.
Try to go a little greener….ideas could possibly be with bottle size and thickness (e.g., some water bottles now use less plastic and are thinner; and maybe using recycled materials with packaging???). I don’t know if you are able to sell products as “refills” I’d be happy to use the same bottle and keep refilling it with the same supplement.
Keep up the good work….you always respond to my questions with a researched and timely answer.
Many people need what you offer. Your prompt, accurate service is much appreciated, and your health care information is quite interesting.
At 74 I believe the most important things in life and for good health are:
Family ties – Community ties – Helping others – Keeping active.
You are not what you eat but what you think.
Think of continuous positive outcomes and eat healthy food with supplements from your co-op
Trying to please everyone is like trying to herd kats, cannot be done.
Give dogs a chance….;)
Ethics is key – keep your standards high – you will gain trust, loyalty, repeat customers.
A positive mental attitude is just as important as quality supplements.
I love all the products I have tried over the years and am happy with the fact that you require your suppliers to prove that their products contain what they say they contain. It also helps that I have been meditating for 20 years now.
You could offer a birthday discount and/or reward folks for the number of years they’ve been buying from you.
You folks are great. At the moment, I have no piece of wisdom to pass on. However — Make Arthro 3 in capsule form [I hate the mess made when grinding up the tablet!].
Keep the focus on quality and price as it seems that you have to date. Given that, find out what we want and try to find quality products at a good price so we could buy more of our supplements here.
To continue your customer-orientated operation. Many times I have received personal service from Teri that was much appreciated.
I wouldn’t claim to have wisdom over you guys…I look to you all for wisdom.
it would be great if you had an advisory board that consisted of traditional MDs that also believed and supported the holistic approach to wellness, RNs, nutritionists, and registered dieticians.

I think you have been on the forefront of the whole natural health industry. I am so grateful for your reasonable prices thru the years and am proud to be a consistent member of your company. Maybe do some radio advertising to send customers to your website. Maybe do what DirecTV does, refer a new customer and get?
Continue to treat each one of us as if we were special and unique.

Let folks know that you can get (?) bottles into a single priced USPS priority box to help save on shipping.
Communication w/your customers in a variety of ways, blog, email, web site, newsletter, action grams, nutrition alerts, etc.
Please continue to confirm the content and safety of the nutrients you sell AND keep the price affordable so people buy them.
If you can make us smile or laugh, you will help us remember you. If you consistently produce high-quality products, you will retain our trust. And, if you listen to us, even when we’re upset, you will win our hearts
Please use smaller bottles when there aren’t many pills inside. it’s wasteful to use the same size bottle for all, when so many have so few pills in them. it’s a waste of materials, waste of storage space, and increased packaging in landfills. on the other hand, it would be nice to also have more larger, economy-sized offerings to save money.
I like your website, newsletters, and your prices!! I think you do a very good job! If it ain’t broke…
Just keep doing what you have been doing. Keep promoting Naturopathic and Homeopathic medicine and get the word out that in 2009 no one died of these modalities, but over 100,000 died of drugs, invasive surgery and hospitalization.
Remember your roots. You started with a simple philosophy and vision. Don’t lose sight of it for profits and growth. Guido rules.
Keep doing what you are doing! Don’t ever stop! We need you!! The survey is also an excellent idea. So many companies don’t tap into their customer’s opinions about what is working and what is not working.
Integrate discussions of supplements with advice on healthy diet.
What’s the most memorable thing you’ve learned from the Co-op (or the kat)?
There are people who are still interested in helping others.
I enjoy the positive vibe.
gut health affects other physiological systems.
Nice to be connected with people who are sincere about what they do.
Fairness!
That by the time a pillow is a few years old something like 50% of it’s weight is from dust mites and their residue!!
Cats have feelings too!
Constant Health is good stuff.
That there is such a place where you can trust the people and products that we get.
It doesn’t hurt to be personable!! You people are the greatest.
About the items you DON’T carry, because they are not helpful. It’s good to know what not to bother with in terms of supplements.
Laughter is the best medicine.
That I can make a difference in my health by using intelligent choices.

Your 1st & lasting ‘memory’ has always been your overall kindness. I have ‘dropped’ other companies like a hot-potato, for their implied aloofness, or rudeness. Most times the ‘best’ apple pie is never the ‘biggest’ apple-pie….;)
incredible products at great prices that are very affordable to those of us who are not rich (in $$).
So far, identified w/ the blog comment about the worst canned pet food being better than the best dried food, and switched both my cats and my dog over. Have also sent a couple of specifics to friend in NM dealing with breast cancer issues. Thanks!
That there exists at least one company that truly cares about its customers, going way beyond not ripping them off. I like to think of the kat as a very benevolent feline, sort of like a kitty god up in the sky.
There is always good stuff from the kat, tickling rats is pretty much stuck in my head!

Over the years of reading various articles and blog posts and so forth I have been instilled with the understanding that my health and wellbeing are my own responsibility and if I don’t take the time to do something about it, then nothing will change. Thanks for the years of sacrifice and dedication you have all made for us. I appreciate it and tell everyone I can about the co-op so they can reap the benefits like I have.

Hmm, I believe I appreciate the “whole person” approach the most. Our emotions and thoughts also affect our physical health. We need to keep a positive outlook and not worry about every little thing. ENJOY the day – and thanks for all the information you offer!
Oh, I’ve learned tons! Your health reports for each product are outstanding. I even use them when I’m shopping on another site (which I do because you don’t have enough products). Please add more!
I pay a lot more attention to the gut, where most of the immune system is, and am more interested than I was before in nutrients that help with digestion and elimination of toxins.

Today’s article about ‘tickling rats’!!!! I agree that laughter is vital to your good health and sound mind! One should belly-laugh at least six times every day!!!
I am almost 75 and have been taking Sam’ Formula vitamins for as many years as they have been offered. I rarely get a cold or other illness and attribute my good health to them and some of your other products. I think I have convinced my doubting urologist that Beta Sitosterol works to reduce prostate problems.
Remember that the population is getting older and address the main issues so that the seniors won’t have to take conventional medicines.
Kats purr a lot.
Treating customers fairly makes loyal customers
The whatchamacallit diet. (Ideal Protein?) Would love to learn more about how to do with regular food instead of buying special stuff.
An honest business can’t be beat.
Quality products ARE available at reasonable prices–so long as you’re not paying for prime time advertising every 30 seconds and keeping the markups below 850. Thank you for being willing to do that.

How to be feisty!
I just learned about Quercetin and would like to be able to purchase that for my wife’s asthma and allergies.
I’ve learned that at least one company (yours) embodies qualities I admire: a fundamental mission to help others, an openness to learning, and excellent customer service.
I love the sense of humor that you just don’t find anywhere else!
We ALL have issues we are dealing with. Thus care must be taken with all. I think you do a good job of paying attention. Always have my emails been answered, even when I was just giving a little input on a possible new product for you. Just ideas!
You keep your word, thus far all of you speak TRUTH to your Co-Op’ers. I love the kat even though I’m not a cat lover. The kat brings a smile & a laugh even when the pain is ripping my body in every direction…such wisdom & laughter from a kat. Terri is a joy to anyone’s day, Harley is one lucky male. The moral (memorable thing) of the story is “don’t change….stay as you are.”

The Coop is one of the most customer friendly organizations I have ever know. They are friendly, will respond to inquiries, and have the best prices of ANYBODY.
Meeeow…how much I loooove kats.
The “testimonies” that are shared as a result of taking your products. One in particular was a woman that suffered from a lot of hip pain and she used your products (I can’t remember which) and she got tremendous relief from her pain. She may have had fibromyalgia.
“Let me count the ways” I’ve learned to check your web site for my nutritional supplements before I shop somewhere else.
How important fish oil is and Vit.C. The friendly person on the tel. sales is always a special treat and I appreciate being able to phone in my order instead of e-mailing as I just don’t like to put my credit card info on line.
I have been a member since 2000, and have watched the co-op do everything with integrity, give the customer great value and exceptional products, and continued good customer service. You are the best!

The lack of Vit. D in my system has now been corrected in my resistance to colds is the best it has ever been.
That I can actually enjoy a friendly, economical health food co-op online, like the neighborhood one I was a member of 35 years ago!
